Jeffrey Brandt of Law Technology News published a book review last week of Locked Down: Information Security for Lawyers authored by Sensei’s Sharon Nelson and John Simek with Dave Ries of Thorp Reed & Armstrong. Mr. Brandt said that the book “should be required reading for any managing partner, risk partner, technology committee chair, or interested attorney in a law firm”. He further stated that the authors provided ample evidence as to why security should be taken seriously by every lawyer and law firm employee. Read the review…

ABA Model Rules Have Changed
Jim Calloway and Sharon Nelson, Sensei’s President, welcome guest Andy Perlman, a noted professor, author and lecturer, who serves as the Chief Reporter for the ABA Commission on Ethics 20/20. The House of Delegates adopted a number of the Commission’s recommendations in August of 2012 and Andy provides a great overview of what lawyers need to know about the changes in what it means to be competent, the protection of client data and ethical marketing.
