Where in the World is President Obama? Ask the Russians.

April 13, 2015

CNET reported last week that Russian government hackers who reportedly breached the White House's computer systems late last year gained access to sensitive information, though U.S. officials said at the time that they hadn't. Now there's a surprise.

Officials at the time (October) said the breach had only affected an unclassified network, but sources have said that hackers were able to gain access to real-time nonpublic details of the President's schedule. That is apparently "sensitive" but not classified information which makes no sense at all to me.

Don't tell me we leave the President's real-time nonpublic schedule details open for the world's inspection. The breach was clearly more serious than anyone thought.

Despite efforts by the State Department to shore up its security, hackers have been able to reenter the system, resulting in the network being "owned" for months by Russian hackers, according to CNN, which was the underlying source for the CNET story.

Anyone besides me think that the real-time details of the President's schedule OUGHT to be classified and highly secured?
