Time to Review Your Facebook Privacy Settings!

April 9, 2015

Always a good idea to check your Facebook privacy settings regularly. Facebook is actually helping more than usual. As Naked Security has reported, Facebook has added a new security collection called How to Keep Your Account Secure to the Privacy Basics page.

The topics cover setting a strong password, recognizing attempts to steal passwords and other information, details on how Facebook handles government requests for information and advice on what to do if your account gets hijacked.

I rarely say anything nice about Facebook, but this is actually a useful guide (do you hear the grudging tone?). Always bear in mind that it is a good idea to review your privacy settings on social media regularly. Social media sites are prone to helpfully (not) resetting your settings for you – as I have found many times. Protect yourself by being vigilant!
