The Military's Robots of War: The Video

September 30, 2014

Hat tip to Laurence Colletti from Legal Talk Network for passing along this DARPA video of the military's robots of war.

While I've seen the odd video here and there, this six-minute video had clips I had not seen. By turns, the robots are impressive, comic (Chevy Chase would admire some of their pratfalls), and downright scary.

These days, robots climb stairs, walk on treadmills and do push-ups with ease. Some can run at speeds over 29 miles per hour. No, you have no prayer of outrunning those robots.

Drones flying in formation? Yes, they can do that too.

Are they sentient? Not yet. But don't blink.
