A Revolutionary E-Discovery Development from Logikcull

February 3, 2014

Last week, I read a terrific post on Project Counsel about my friends at Logikcull. As I have said before, these guys are always brainstorming and gazing toward the future. Each year, they seem to surpass themselves with truly innovative thinking – and products that are the result of that thinking. Co-founders Andy Wilson and Sheng Yang had a simple plan to become a leader in cost-effective and accurate e-discovery services using the efficiencies offered by technology. They have accomplished this in spades.

From the beginning, the processing speed of their software was a differentiator. What others took a week to process took them just hours.

I regret that I will be in Chicago fulfilling all my ABA duties this week because I'd love to be at LegalTech in New York to see my friends unveil their latest innovations. Legal technology expert and friend Brett Burney has said, "Logikcull is focused on bringing e-discovery software to the masses. If you can search Google and navigate Facebook, you can review your documents in Logikcull. All you need is a web browser."

Most e-discovery companies realized they needed to work with tablet screens but that mostly meant squishing the experience uncomfortably into a smaller screen. Logikcull went the extra mile and completely restructured its software to work inside a mobile environment. It is truly radical. Andy gave me a test drive a short time ago and I was wowed. The new design is completely responsive to any screen size – and the features that are most important are optimized for your viewing. While it may be true that you wouldn't normally want to do e-discovery work on your smartphone, now you can if you have to. This could be amazingly helpful for discrete tasks if you don't have access to a computer. As the Project Counsel post noted, "even when Logikcull is shrunk down to the size of a smart watch display you can still review documents, tag documents, and cull documents … using gesture controls!" Find out more at Logikcull's website. Logikcull also has its own YouTube channel with some very cool videos.

If you are going to LegalTech, Logikcull will be at Booth Number 2401. Get a demo – I guarantee you'll be impressed.
