How Cooperative Are You in E-Discovery?

It's always a good morning when I fix my green tea, head to the laptop and find a post by Craig Ball. Where else can I read about singing pigs and Sun Tzu in a few paragraphs?

Craig is making his annual pilgrimage to attend Georgetown University Law Center’s Advanced E-Discovery Institute which begins tomorrow. As a faculty member, he will be teaching cooperation in e-discovery. This is a part of e-discovery too often left by the wayside. I have had the misfortune to be on the phone or in the room with any number of combative attorneys, sometimes complete with language which would make a Marine blush.

Attend the conference if you can, but if you can't, it is well worth reading Craig's post, which offers a series of questions about cooperation that the faculty will address at the conference. It struck me as I read the list that attorneys could benefit from simply reading the questions – they offer a chance to do a self-assessment of your own cooperative skills.
