CATCHING BAD GUYS WITH THEIR OWN CHILD PORN

Law enforcement in Germany hit upon a very effective way of catching child predators. Having in their possession videos of a man molesting young children, sometimes violently, they decided to release photos from the videos, clearly showing the man and the apartment where the videos were filmed plain for all to see. They also released audiotapes of his voice.
Reaching out to the public for help in catching the predator proved to be a stroke of genius by the German Federal Criminal Investigations Office. Clearly, the suspect thought he would be quickly identified and thus chose to turn himself in, perhaps preferring that fate to the justice his community might dole out.
Slick move – and effective. Tipping my hat in admiration for some innovative and clever police work.
