Every Law Firm is a Technology Business

September 19, 2016

That is the title of an article by my good friend Jim Calloway, Director of the Oklahoma Bar Association Management Assistance Program. Anything Jim writes is worth reading, but he makes a great point when he says there are more Flintstones than Jetsons when it comes to addressing law firm technology.

Not only do lawyers ethically need to be competent with technology, they need to embrace it – and to move with it into the future. As is often said, the seven most expensive (and sometimes fatal) words in law firms is, "That's the way we've always done it."

It's a good read – and Jim is right: Smart lawyers drive smart machines.
