Sedona Conference Commentary on the Protection of Privileged ESI Released

Working Group 1 of The Sedona Conference, the Working Group responsible for The Sedona Principles and other leading commentaries on the preservation, management, and production of ESI in civil litigation, has announced the final release of its new Commentary addressing Federal Rule of Evidence 502. This final version of The Sedona Conference Commentary on Protection of Privileged ESI reflects changes made after release of the public comment version in November 2014.

If you work in e-discovery, you will certainly want to download that document. I will forego any reflections on it because I am currently in Las Vegas and have no intention of downloading or reading it here. In fact, the Wheel of Fortune is singing its siren song, so having pointed out this valuable new resource, I am resolved to answer the call of my favorite slot machine. By the time you read this, I'll be back at work and doing much duller stuff, so I must maximize my R&R time.

As an irrelevant aside, it was a hoot to get to the Las Vegas airport to be greeted by Darth Vader and Stormtroopers with Santa hats. Only in Vegas . . .
