Free Book: Technology Assisted Review for Smart People

December 14, 2015

I just finished reading the book TAR for Smart People as a result of interviewing John Tredennick, CEO of Catalyst, for a Digital Detectives podcast. The book was written by John along with Mark Noel, Jeremy Pickens and Robert Ambrogi and is available as a free download. It's a good read. If you have never understood Technology Assisted Review, this short book is for you.

It works just like Pandora, as the authors explain – I'll leave you to enjoy the analogy as you read. The title is a riff on some of the "Dummies" books written on the same topic. You'll find there is a lot of science backing the book, but it's still a pretty easy read, though you do have to pay attention. Coffee advised.

But for a fairly short investment of time, you'll discover that you've gained a lot of insight into TAR and the newer, more advanced protocols coming with TAR 2.0. And if you don't understand TAR 2.0 and what it is capable of in terms of saving time and money in e-discovery review, you definitely need to read this book.

I'll let you know when the podcast is up – John is a most engaging guest.
