IT-Lex Technology Law Conference October 17-18, 2013

September 11, 2013

I was delighted to receive this guest post from Adam Losey (yes, son of the inimitable Ralph Losey). Sounds like a wonderful conference to me!

IT-Lex is an interesting and relatively new 501(c)(3)not-for-profit technology law educational organization that does a grab-bag ofeducational and literary activities. They focus on information security, privacy, eDiscovery, and otherinteresting intersections of technology and law. In that vein, they publish entertaining andeducational twice-daily articles on technology law issues by a number ofauthors, produce educational videos (including one featuring an attorneyserving requests with a shotgun and a bulletproof vest, and being slapped in the face while speaking in binary code), fund a largecash-prize writing competition for law students, publish a scholarly journal(with content drawn from the winning competition entries), and hold educationalseminars.

I was asked to help get the word out regarding their first majornational educational conference, the InnovateConference, which takes place October 17-18 in Orlando, Florida. There are a number of A-listers coming to theconference, such as the Chief Privacy Officer of the Federal Trade Commission,a Special Agent from the FBI's Cyber Intrusion Squad, the Predictive CodingDream Team (Jason Baron, Ralph Losey, and Maura Grossman), Judge Facciola, KenWithers, just to name a few. The conference isalso unique in that attendees are encourages to e-mail questions or issuessalient to the topics to for inclusion in the conference itself.

The full agenda can be found here, andyou can sign up directly online at IT-Lex'swebsite. Any questions regarding theconference can be directed to ,and hope to see you there!
