Six Movies That Feature Encryption

August 22, 2016

There are more than six movies that feature encryption of course, but this was still a fun read – and reminded me it was time to watch "Sneakers" again. Dave Ries, who sent me the link, probably felt the same nostalgia.

As Cosmo tells Marty in "Sneakers": "It's not about who has the most bullets, it's about who controls the information: What we see and hear, how we work, what we think. It's all about the information."

And that was before social media, before we all had smartphones, and before the NSA had kicked surveillance into high gear. Way ahead of its time.

The six movies are all graded by an encryption level. One movie's level is "You'll shoot your eye out" which should identify the movie for you.

A quick and humorous read.
