The Future of Wearable Tech for Lawyers

September 8, 2014

Jim Calloway and I were delighted to welcome attorney Richard Georges on our most recent Legal Talk Network Digital Edge podcast. Richard talked with us about wearable tech, which seems to be dominating a lot of tech news these days.

It is much easier to look at your watch to read a text or e-mail rather than fumbling to get your smartphone out of your pocket and he has quickly adapted to using a smartwatch. Richard talks about how he uses wearable tech in his practice and where he believes wearable tech will take us in the future.

Fascinating stuff, but ever cautious, I continue to urge lawyers to think about security issues – and the fact that every device may carry new risks – and constitute a source of evidence. "The Internet of Everything" is an inherently dangerous place, for all that it may make our lives easier or more productive.
