Law Firm “Brought Down” by a Ransomware Attack
September 1, 2022
National Cyber Security News Today reported on August 29 that a Manhattan judge heard on August 29 that law firm Cohen Tauber Spievack & Wagner, PC, which represents a California vineyard in a $10 million insurance dispute over a recent wildfire, has been “brought down” by a ransomware attack and slowed operationally.
I wish I could tell you more than that, but the only story I’ve seen so far is protected behind the Law360 paywall.
One doesn’t usually hear first about successful ransomware attacks in court, but nothing surprises me anymore. If details become public, I will do another blog post.
