iPhone Users – Battery Life Still Sucks
July 12, 2018
It never fails to amuse me that iPhone users will accept the fact that battery life is crap. As I've said many times, just look at any airport waiting area and see how many people are connecting their iDevices to charge them up. Unfortunately, the latest version of iOS isn't helping to dispel the poor battery life of the iPhone. BGR confirms that iOS 11 is a mess. As the post states, "… iPhone users have found that the iOS 11.4 update is drastically reducing their battery life. Some users say their iPhones only last half as long on each charge compared to the battery life they had experienced prior to installing the update."
I get why Apple doesn't want to increase the battery size. Additional weight and thickness would distract from the thin, sleek form factor of the iPhone. What about the practical side of having a useable smartphone? Sorry, but I'm not willing to pay a thousand dollars or more for a device where I have to constantly search for an electrical outlet or carry around a pocket of power bricks. The latest version of Apple's iOS isn't helping the cause.
