Send Large Files for Free
May 29, 2018
Sometimes you need to send a large file to someone that exceeds the attachment size of your e-mail provider. You may be able to share the file via a service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, etc. But what if you don't want to sign up for a service and still want to send a large file? There are several websites where you can upload your file and send a link to the recipient so they can download it.
WeTransfer allows you to send a file up to 2GB in size. Enter the e-mail address for up to 20 recipients. Send Anywhere is another option that can send a file up to 4GB in a browser, 10GB with the Outlook add-in or 20GB using iOS/Android apps. Take a look at Firefox Send if you are focused on privacy and security. The service will send a file up to 1GB in size that is encrypted client side and deletes the file after 24 hours or after it has been downloaded, whichever comes first.
