Enable Automatic Restore Points in Windows 10

December 12, 2017

Windows restore points allow you to recover from system errors after installing some driver updates or system patch. Basically, it's the equivalent of a "do over" method. There are two methods of creating automatic restore points on Windows 10 every day. In the search bar, type "system restore" and click on the "creating a restore point" option. In the "system protection" tab, click "configure" and then the "Turn on system protection" option. You have now enabled system protection and are ready to enable automatic restore points.

You can next configure the automatic restore points using a Group Policy or by editing the registry. IT Pro has detailed instructions for each of these methods.
