New Mobile App from Adobe to Create PDFs

June 5, 2017

Adobe has release a free mobile app that is used to convert paper to an editable PDF document. Adobe Scan is available for iOS and Android devices. You take a picture of the document you want to convert and Adobe Scan uses OCR to turn it into an editable PDF file. Unlike some other free PDF apps, Adobe Scan does not limit you on the number of pages you can scan. You will need to have an Adobe ID in order to use the app. When you scan in a document to the mobile app it is automatically uploaded to your Adobe Document Cloud account. If you are an Adobe DC subscriber, you'll also be able to fully edit and organize documents, collect signatures, and more.

My previous mobile app for scanning documents to a PDF was CamScanner, but I'm going to give Adobe Scan a try, especially since I already have an Adobe ID. I really want to see how well accessing the PDF in Document Cloud from multiple devices works.
