Another Reason to Use the Chrome Browser

May 1, 2017

Google is serious about having a more secure Internet experience and compelling websites to use the more secure HTTPS protocol. Chrome 56 started labeling websites as insecure right next to the URL if there are unencrypted requests for passwords and credit card details. Chrome 62 is going to up the game a bit more by displaying a pop up warning whenever you type anything in an insecure HTTP website. According to Engadget, if you're in incognito mode, you don't even have to type anything. Chrome will automatically assume you have a higher expectation of privacy, so it will flag any HTTP site you visit. Chrome 62 is planned for release in October.
