KeePass Password Manager is Insecure

June 6, 2016

Not all password managers are secure. A recent report at Softpedia states that the developer of KeePass refuses to patch a known security flaw. The problem is an insecure mechanism for the update process. Some state that the refusal to update the bug is driven by the potential loss of ad revenue. This means that a KeePass user has to manually download and update the application via the sites homepage. Not an ideal situation. I would suggest that you use a different password manager and avoid KeePass.
