Firefox Jumps on HTTPS Bandwagon

May 4, 2015

The Internet is an evil place. There are a ton of bad guys trying to get you to click on malicious links and infect your computer. Stealing your information is a prime concern of thieves and even our own government. Encryption is your friend. It protects your data in storage and in transit. Firefox is the latest browser to announce that it will require HTTPS encrypted  connections to fully utilize all of its features. This is a good thing. There may be a day when every piece of software we use stores and transmits data in encrypted form. I certainly hope so. You can encrypt the contents of a Word document by password protecting it. Imagine how much better it would be if the data was encrypted even without the extra step of saving with a password.
