Digital Forensic Evidence Bread Crumbs in Lori Vallow Daybell Investigation

April 2, 2020

The disappearance of Lori Vallow Daybell’s two children in conjunction with her marriage in Hawaii less than six weeks later has been in the headlines for weeks. Recently digital forensic evidence has come to the forefront in the case, helping to possibly paint a picture of the chain of events.

FBI digital forensic experts were able to uncover records of the purchase of a silver and malachite ring from Amazon on October 2, 2019. The purchase was made using Lori’s estranged husband Charles Vallow’s Amazon account and shipped to the address where she was living. Ms. Vallow Daybell was reportedly still using this Amazon account as Charles had been shot and killed in July of 2019 by Lori’s brother. On the same computer, searches for wedding dresses on Amazon were also noted.

It appears Ms. Daybell is wearing a ring of the exact same design in the now famous Hawaiian wedding photos taken just six weeks after the Amazon order and about three weeks after groom Chad Daybell’s previous wife had mysteriously passed away in her sleep.
