Virtual Learning and Keeping Kids Safe Online
September 2, 2020
Kudos to Sensei's CEO, Mike Maschke, for his interview with WUSA-9 about keeping children safe as they attend school virtually.
Mike said that many elementary school kids now have their own email address for school. As a result, it is important to monitor what your kids click on because phishing is a continuing problem.
This year teachers are also relying more on free, external resources that can be found online. If they are outside the school website, it's important to make sure they are safe.
Make sure that you have changed your home network's SSID and the default log-in password. Disable any remote management.
TV interviews are necessarily short. You can find many valuable and extensive resources regarding remote learning published by the Department of Education here.
