15 Things to Avoid Being Hacked

Times have changed. The bad guys are constantly trying to attack your computing devices and mobile phones. The goal is usually for financial gain. Not to worry. Tech Viral has 15 simple things that you can do to avoid being hacked.
- Update everything
- Use a VPN
- Never reuse passwords
- Use two-step verification
- Don't link your accounts (Are you listening Facebook?)
- Avoid public Wi-Fi
- Download from trusted sources
- Never use your primary email for other purposes
- Always type web addresses instead of clicking them directly
- Never discuss private details on social networking sites
- Make use of the privacy settings
- Only log in to accounts from your own gadget
- Backup important information
- Avoid cloud storage (unless you encrypt the data first)
