Dropbox Reduces Storage Costs

September 2, 2014

Cloud-based file storage is pretty much a necessity these days. Dropbox was early on the scene, but the “big boys” like Google, Amazon and Microsoft are fierce competitors. Dropbox has announced that Dropbox Pro will cost $9.99 per month for one terabyte of storage, which is the same price as Google Drive and Microsoft’s OneDrive. There used to be three different offerings for Dropbox Pro, but now it’s just the 1 TB option.

There are also some additional new security features if you are a Dropbox Pro user. You’ll be able to set a password for shared links, set an expiration for shared links, establish view-only permissions for shared folders and remotely wipe files from a lost or stolen device.
