How to Make Your Smartphone Battery Last Longer

July 29, 2014

Probably one of the biggest complaints from smartphone users is the poor battery life of their devices. Just take a walk through any airport and you’ll see every outlet boasting a smartphone charger and dangling wires attached to those power hungry things that happen to make phone calls. USA Today published an article to help those that can’t seem to have their smartphones last but a few hours before going on the hunt for an outlet.

One tip is to tone down the brightness on your display. The biggest battery drain is all the “juice” that is used to lighten up your device’s screen. Another tip is to stop feeling that you have to be in a real-time connection state. Turn off your Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi connections. Having those connections on means they are constantly checking for activity in the background, thereby using precious power. The article has a few more tips to help you try and keep your phone operational for an entire day.
