How to Maximize Smartphone Battery Life
December 1, 2015
Well, the first piece of advice is NOT to believe what you have heard in the past about charging, discharging, crossing fingers or any other thing you have heard about extending the life of your rechargeable battery. BGR has posted information about a video from CNET’s Sharon Profis that debunks three of the most common myths about batteries. The old school recommendation of bleeding your battery down to zero before recharging doesn’t apply to current battery technology. Neither does fully charging the battery before first use. Also, it’s not a problem to leave your charger connected once the battery is at 100%. Putting batteries in a freezer doesn’t help either.
At least someone has tried to expose the real truth about modern day batteries. Too bad Sharon can’t make an iPhone battery last longer so you’re not constantly on the lookout for an outlet.
