Legal Research: The Three Big Players

Lexis and WestLaw have always been the big gorillas of the legal research market. No more. Fastcase now joins that exclusive club. Clio, the cloud practice management solution, asked its users what tool they used for legal research. The survey indicated WestLaw, Fastcase and Lexis each were used by around 20% of the respondents. That doesn't mean that there are now three major legal research players in the legal space since only Clio users were surveyed, but it is a good indicator.
