Patch Your Web Servers Now

It is always recommended that you apply the patches that vendors release. The primary reason is to fix the vulnerabilities that are discovered in the products you use. Patching your systems in a timely fashion is even more important these days. The “bad guys” are reverse engineering the patches to see what vulnerability is being fixed with the patch. They then code an attack to exploit the vulnerability for those systems that aren’t patched. The latest is the attack on web servers after Microsoft released a fix. You can test your web server to see if it is vulnerable by running the command referenced in The Register article. Bottom line…patch your systems now.
