The Best Uninterruptable Power Supply for Home Use
August 25, 2016
Ars Technica has a great post discussing which UPS you should consider for your home network. The winner was the CyberPower CP685AVR. The review considered UPS devices that could keep your home network running for an hour or less during a power failure. I really like UPSs from APC. The APC BE650G1 Back-UPS is another good choice and the APC BR1000G Back-UPS Pro is better since you get more than twice the power for less than twice the price.
Read the post to learn why you would use a UPS over a surge strip and how they tested the devices. They simulated real world situations and didn't just rely on the technical specifications.
