Use Your Android Device as a Second Monitor

Multiple monitors are the way to go. I have dual monitors connected to my laptop docking station. Counting the screen on the laptop, that makes three displays. On the road, I'm stuck with just one screen. Tech Viral has a post that instructs how to use your Android device as another monitor. The key is to install an app on your Android device called iDisplay. You'll also need to install the iDisplay driver on your computer. Answer all the prompts and reboot your computer. Check the system tray to make sure the driver installed. Launch the iDisplay app on your Android device. The device can be connected via Wi-Fi or USB. After the device is connected, just go to the display settings and set your preferences.

Spacedesk is another alternative to use your Android device as a second monitor. I'm not sure it's very practical to use your Android smartphone as a second display. You can't get a lot of readable data to show on such a small screen. Perhaps the Galaxy Note would work, but Android tablets seem to be the best alternatives.
