Who Makes the Most Reliable Hard Disk?

Who better to answer that question than backup cloud provider Backblaze, which uses tens of thousands of consumer grade disks for its operation? Recently it published its findings of hard disk reliability. Hitachi is the clear winner in the reliability race. Western Digital comes in with a failure rate of twice that of Hitachi. The really surprising result is the very high failure rate of Seagate drives. This report will certainly change our buying habits.
