Another Modestly Priced E-Discovery Tool: ReadySuite from Compiled Services

June 4, 2012

I had the opportunity to learn about ReadySuite from Compiled Services recently thanks to Justin Blessing. This is another worthy contender in the "don't break the bank" school of e-discovery. I always like products that state their pricing clearly on the site with features. On May 31st, the company announced the release of version 4.2 of the software.

I asked Justin to put together several paragraphs to give you an idea of what ReadySuite offers, so here you go:

Designed for law firms, in-house legal teams and e-discovery providers, ReadySuite is a bundled suite of specialized litigation support software that includes tools for handling all aspects of load files, reviewing and quality checking document productions, and handling imaging tasks such as batch printing, generating searchable text, converting among image formats, and adding or removing bates numbers and endorsements. With ReadySuite, users can easily convert, edit, merge, quality-check, and validate litigation load files and document productions through multiple stages of the EDRM life cycle.

ReadySuite addresses quality control challenges with its ability to visualize load files and productions in a quick and efficient manner. This time-consuming and technically challenging process is eliminated with ReadySuite because it allows users to forgo the advanced database setup and instead work with load files and all the resources inline, such as from a CD or DVD. The software allows processing teams to re-check production by viewing it from the client’s perspective, allowing them to determine if there are any errors or glitches that would compromise the production.  This allows ReadySuite to serve as a final review of production data before it is sent off to a client or opposing counsel.

Other challenges ReadySuite addresses include moving documents from one review or processing platform to another, such as vendor deliverables and productions received from opposing counsel. The software’s conversion features allow users to convert load files from one format to another along with the images, text and native files. Additionally, users can convert image files from multi-page to single-page images, TIFF files to PDF files, and all vice-versa. Another feature of ReadySuite is the ability to change endorsements on existing images, such as moving the location of a confidentiality stamp or replacing an existing bates number with a new number. Many times, processing teams would have to re-run the entire production to achieve these changes, but ReadySuite’s tools reduce the time and effort needed to handle this.

It is gratifying to see so many players trying to fill the e-discovery needs of those who don't have fat wallets. Thanks for sharing this Justin!
