Virginia Law Signed Exempting Computer Forensics from Private Investigator Licensing

John and I were behind the initiative to draft a bill exempting computer forensics from private investigator licensing in Virginia. The bill, sponsored by Delegate Mark Keam and co-sponsored by Delegate Scott Surovell, was signed into law last week.
We both want to thank Delegate Keam for his hard work in championing this bill and seeing it through the legislative process – and also want to thank Delegate Surovell for his ardent support of the bill.
There are still a few states who need to address this issue – so feel free to crib from Virginia!
