Send Encrypted Gmail Messages
February 16, 2021
Encryption is your friend and an easy way to protect your private information. Have confidential information? Send an encrypted email message. Encrypting the message will protect the contents from unauthorized access. TechViral has the steps to send encrypted email using Gmail. Gmail is the most popular email option for Windows, Android, macOS, iOS and the web. So, it’s a good thing to learn how to send an encrypted Gmail message.
Login to your Gmail account and click the Compose button to start a new message. Compose the message just like you would normally do by putting in the recipient’s email address, subject line and message content. Prior to sending, click on the Lock button (padlock icon) at the bottom of the message, which enables Confidential mode. You can then set the expiration date. Be sure to select the radio button to enable SMS passcode. Once you click on Send, you will be prompted to enter the recipient’s phone number.
