Change Your Displayed Name for Gmail

If you are a Gmail user, there is a very simple way to change how your name is displayed to recipients. How-To Geek has the instructions for controlling how your name is displayed when you send a message. You have to go through the steps by logging in to your Gmail account from your computer browser and not from the mobile app on an Android or iOS device. Once you are logged in to your Gmail account, click on the gear icon to get to the Settings menu. Click on the 'See all settings' choice. Next click on the 'Accounts and Import' tab. You will see your current displayed name in the 'Send mail as:' section. Click on the 'edit info' to modify displayed name. Edit the name and don't forget to click the 'Save Changes' button.
