Rename Your Network Adapter in Windows 11

Sometimes you want the name of your network adapter to be a bit more descriptive. Adapters named Ethernet or Ethernet 2 are not very helpful. Not to worry. Techviral has a post with instructions on how to change the name to something that makes a little more sense. The post describes using one of three methods to modify the name.

  1. Change the Network Adapter Name on Windows 11 via Settings
  2. Rename Network Adapter using Control Panel
  3. Rename Network Adapter using Command Prompt

My preference is to use the Control Panel, but at least you have options.
