Dropbox Joins Password Manager Game
June 8, 2020
I believe that everyone should be using a password manager these days. There are so many good choices for storing your important information in an easily accessible encrypted vault. My password manager uses Dropbox as a vehicle to synchronize across multiple devices. The encrypted database is stored in Dropbox and each device synchronizes the file each time it is launched or shut down. The Verge reported that Dropbox has released its own password manager in private beta. The private beta is only available for Android, but you won't be able to use it unless you received an invitation. According to The Verge, the app is pretty basic. There is no mention of being able to import passwords from browsers or support for 2FA.
