A New Browser Helps with ADHD

March 8, 2023

Let it never be said that users don’t have choices for which browser to use. Edge, Chrome and Firefox are some of the most popular browsers. Lesser known browsers such as Opera, DuckDuckGo and Brave are used by a smaller population. No matter which browser you use, it’s a challenge to control those annoying ads and pop-up notifications and to protect your privacy by limiting the sharing (or leakage) of your information. A Gizmodo post reports on a new browser with a specific goal in mind.

The browser is named Sidekick and is designed to be ADHD-friendly by minimizing distractions as you navigate the internet. “It eliminates the number of ads users see so they aren’t sidetracked as they search the web, and unlike other search engines, Sidekick doesn’t make money by selling ads but instead gets funding through subscriptions, according to the site.”
