Bruce Willis to Take on Apple Over Digital Rights
September 5, 2012
As we've always said, almost no one reads Apple's (or anyone else's) Terms of Service. Bruce Willis apparently got around to doing that – ok, his lawyers probably did – as he set out to bequeath to his three daughters his vast digital collection of music from iTunes.
He now understands that he bought a license to that music which Apple's iTunes says is non-transferable. Press reports indicate that he is considering suing Apple, a move which a lot of folks who are just thinking about digital rights might applaud.
Amazon has the same sort of license – hat tip to Jim Blue for passing along this news report.
May Bruce have reason to shout out once again "Yippee-ki-yay mother******!"
