Do You Have Question for the E-Discovery Experts at ABA TECHSHOW?

April 8, 2011

As John and I are scrambling to get ready to speak at ABA TECHSHOW next week, we thought about asking the readers of Ride the Lightning (those who won't be there) if they had any questions they'd like us to mull over with our faculty colleagues.

We got the idea from a reporter at Virginia Lawyers Weekly who wants input on what e-discovery expenses should be assessed as costs against the requesting party in federal courts. Scanning? Processing? Other services? It's an interesting question which attempts to follow language from the paper world and the court opinions conflict. If that question interests you, our friend Craig Ball wrote an excellent article on this subject last year – we'll be sure to ask Craig for an update and confer with other faculty members as well.

So . . . if you have an e-discovery question, this is your moment to ask. E-mail me and let me know. Hope to see many of you next week in Chicago!
