Should Judge Peck Recuse Himself From the Da Silva Moore Case?

April 24, 2012

The short answer is that I don't know.

However, last week I read an ACEDs posting that was troubling. At least one vendor has admitted making a payment to Judge Peck. While Recommind says it made no payments to Judge Peck, it appears to have sponsored some of the panels he has spoken on. Is there an ethical line here that has been crossed?

If the Plaintiffs in the case correctly recount some of the statements by the judge, they are troubling as well. Frankly, I found the post unsettling.

What do readers think? Should the judge recuse himself?
