Surgery and ESI: Perfection is Not Attainable

Colleague Michael Berman has written an interesting post comparing surgery to the many glitches sometimes associated with e-discovery. Perfection, as Judge Grimm has often noted, is not attainable – we are in search of what is reasonable.
Worth a read, especially for the notice of the upcoming book edited by Mr. Berman, Courtney Barton and Judge Grimm entitled "Managing E-Discovery and ESI: From Pre-Litigation Through Trial." The book is scheduled to be published in August by the ABA – there's one I'll certainly be purchasing.
