Sharon Nelson Interviewed by ACEDS
July 5, 2016
On June 9, 2016 the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) interviewed Sensei’s President, Sharon Nelson, about a variety of E-Discovery issues.
Excerpt: ACEDS: Are law firms being targeted by a more sophisticated class of hackers? Are they perhaps targeted for corporate espionage?
Sharon: Lawyers are the ultimate honeypot because law firms don’t hold the data of just one firm. IBM holds IBM data, but a law firm that holds IBM’s data also has data from hundreds of other companies. But I think that the primary driver is still money. They’re looking for information that will inform insider trading or help them make money, fast. There is certainly an interest in espionage, but money is always the prime mover.
