Busted Windows VPNs Now Fixed

Many users have been scratching their heads the last few days trying to troubleshoot why they couldn’t connect using the Microsoft Windows VPN client. After all, it was working just fine without any changes. Apparently, Microsoft admitted that IPSEC and L2TP VPN connections could fail after installing its January updates. Not to worry. Ars Technica reported that Microsoft has now fixed the flawed patch that broke things to begin with. Make sure you apply the Microsoft fix if you experienced the VPN failure. I can confirm that the out-of-band update works and will get your Windows VPN working again.
