Enable Built-In Ransomware Protection for Windows PC

April 5, 2022

The attacks just keep on coming. We’ve seen huge increases in ransomware attacks since the start of the pandemic. If you are a Windows 10 or Windows 11 user, there is security feature called Ransomware Protection. Techviral has a post describing the details of Ransomware Protection and how to turn it on. The real question is…why isn’t the feature enabled by default?

Essentially, the security feature blocks unfriendly apps from making changes to files in your protected folders. If an app is safe to use, you need to authorize it through controlled folder access. It’s pretty easy to turn on the built-in ransomware protection. Jump over to the post to get the details.
