Google One Users Get Free, Simple VPN

March 9, 2023

One option for secure communications is to us a virtual private network (VPN). ReveiwGeek reports that Google now offers one of the most affordable VPN services. All Google One subscribers (even those with the cheapest $1.99 tier) now have access to VPN services for no additional charge. It’s a pretty simple VPN and doesn’t have a lot of advanced features. As an example, you can’t set the virtual location. Even so, it will protect your privacy and secure your Wi-Fi connection.

You may not realize it, but you may already be a Google One subscriber, especially if you subscribe to Google Drive or Photos cloud storage. Open the Google One app on your phone and click on the “Benefits tab.” Enable the VPN by going to “View Details” for the VPN option. If you don’t see the option for your account, give it a few days.
