Google to Automatically Empty Trash Items in Drive – For Real this Time

No kidding. This time Google will actually delete items that are deleted. According to a report by Android Police, Google will automatically delete any file in the trash folder that has been there for 30 days. Apparently, deleted didn't previously mean deleted. Google will change that starting on October 13th when the automatic deletion will take effect. Administrators for G Suite users get a little more flexibility and can recover items for active users for an additional 25 days past the 30 day threshold.
