More Storage for Paid Dropbox Users
May 30, 2019
Engadet reported that paid subscribers of Dropbox now get an extra terabyte of storage for no additional cost. Even with the increased storage, Dropbox is still slightly more expensive than the competition. Dropbox Plus users now get 2TB of storage for $10/month if paid yearly or $11.99 if paid monthly. Dropbox Professional users now get 3TB of storage instead of the previous 2TB. Dropbox is trying to make its service more attractive by adding additional features such an improved Smart Sync. Frankly, I don’t think Dropbox is going to erode the user base of the competition. There really isn’t much incentive to switch over to a paid version of Dropbox even with the additional features and storage increase.
