Thanks for the Memories

April 15, 2020

I've been involved with technology for more decades than I care to admit. To put things in perspective, the first version of Windows I used was Windows 1.03 running on a custom home-built 8088 clone computer. Back in the day, it was not unusual to run around to various supply stores or computer shows to buy components for building your own computer. It brought back many memories when I saw a Motherboard post about a closed up store in Norman, OK with all sorts of gear from the good old days. I'm sure a lot of nostalgia buffs are hoping the antique equipment will eventually end up on eBay for purchase. Seeing the post makes me want to pull out my working IBM AT model 339 from the closet and see how many DOS commands I can remember from a C:\> prompt.
